Devine Slip Supplements are made in a vegan capsule with 100% organic Slippery Elm grown and harvested in the USA. Our vegan capsules contain no animal derived ingredients, starch, preservatives, wheat, or gmo materials. They are made from pure cellulose from pine and poplar trees. Fast dissolving and easily digestible.

Take one (1) capsule twice daily with 6 to 8 ounces of water for 14 days. After 14 days you may take one (1) capsule daily for maintenance. You may also open one (1) capsule and take the slippery elm in a smoothie or sprinkle it on your food. Do not take for more than 30 days without a seven (7) day period in between.

When added to water, the powdered slippery elm bark becomes a soothing mucilage that moistens and soothes, while the herb's tannins are astringent which helps to soothe inflammation. Combined this mucilage and tannins help reduce swelling, moisten the vagina and heal damaged tissues.

Vaginal dryness in menopause is due to the thinning of the mucous membranes along with a loss of elasticity in the walls of the vagina. It cannot be broken down by the human digestive tract, so when it coats something, it stays coated for a while. It also contains trace amino acids, manganese, and zinc, which are important for reproductive system health. However, vaginal dryness can occur during perimenopause, after menstruation, after childbirth, during and after sexual intercourse, or any time hormones are imbalanced.

Mucilage is the most abundant constituent of slippery elm bark, but the tree also contains starch, sugar, calcium, iodine, bromine, amino acids, and traces of manganese and zinc. Many people use slippery elm to soothe and nourish the body. It is often recommended as a restorative herb for people who suffer from prolonged flu, stomach upset, chronic indigestion, and resulting malnutrition. You can use slippery elm to soothe ulcers and stomach inflammation, irritated intestines, vaginal inflammation, sore throat, coughs, and a hoarse voice.

Common side effects include:

  • Nausea

  • Skin irritation

  • Allergy, usually in people who are allergic to elm pollen or peaches

Slippery elm may coat the digestive tract. Because of this, it may interfere with the absorption of certain drugs.

If you are taking any medications, take slippery elm at least two hours before or after your medications. When you take your regular medications, drink plenty of water unless otherwise indicated.

In folk medicine, the outer bark of the slippery elm tree is sometimes used to induce abortion. There is little evidence that this works. However, people who are pregnant or intend to become pregnant should avoid slippery elm.
